Video, Image or Banner template. What's different?

With the Template Builder, you can create either a (1) Video, (2) Image or (3) Banner template.
When creating a new template you can pick one of these template types.

Different output

Of course, the files you can create with your template differ per template type. With a:
  • Video template, you can output a video file (mp4). For every video file, an image fallback is rendered automatically (jpg).
  • Image template, you can output an image file (jpg).
  • Banner template, you can output an HTML5 banner file (zip). For each banner file, an image fallback is rendered automatically (png).

Different options

Although you use the same editor to create these different template types, there are certain changes in the options available and the look and feel of the Template Builder.

When creating an image template, there's no use for the:

  • Timeline
  • Animations
  • Duration and Frames per second settings.

So these options aren't visible when creating an image template. Instead of the timeline, the canvas gets bigger and the layer panel is visible. As is shown in the image below.
